Every year the Young Woman's Home Association receives numerous grant requests from agencies primarily in the Detroit metropolitan area. While we wish we had the ability to fund every request, we cannot. The grants we do fund generally fall into one of three categories-- education, basic needs, and culture-- and as our mission states, we fund programs that serve women and children.

YWHA Trustees meet throughout the fall to review grant requests. Agencies new to YWHA typically are asked to make a brief video presentation and Trustees may also request an on-site visit to observe the agency and program in action. All agencies will receive a decision on their application in December.

Effective with the Fall 2020 grant cycle, all agencies are asked to submit applications online.  If you are unable to do so, please contact us.  All agencies new to YWHA will be asked to submit a video presentation (detailed instructions will be provided).
